Brandon Hintz, Co-Founder President and CEO
I began my career in construction industry working for a general contractor after receiving a degree in Construction Management from Georgia Southern University. During the downturn in 2008, I accepted a job opportunity with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Iowa. During that time in Iowa, I picked up homebrewing, which eventually led to helping out, essentially for free beer, a local brewery when i wasn't working with the Corps of Engineers.
After a few years in Iowa, my wife, Jodi, and I missed our friends and family in Atlanta, so we moved back home. Wanting to further my brewing career, I applied for a job as a brewer at Sweetwater Brewery.
After spending a few years learning more large scale brewing practices, I opened Hop Alley, a specialty brewpub in Alpharetta, GA, to begin experimenting with more unique Craft brews. It became an instant destination outside of downtown Atlanta.
My passion is formulating and brewing beer that beer drinkers alike, from the novice to the connoisseur, truly enjoy and look forward to the next one.
Taylor Yates, Brewmaster
Born and raised in GA, I started my craft beer journey at Kennesaw State when a bartender friend gave me a hard time for drinking macro fizzy beer. Quickly, I had tried most beer styles, and it became clear I had found my new obsession. Most of my free time was spent making beer at home and working at the local home brew shop.
I moved into the professional brewing world when I helped open Burnt Hickory Brewing, GA's first "nanobrewery." Next up was brewing at Moon River Brewing, where I brewed the 2014 World Beer Cup Gold Medal winning Dry Irish Stout.
My free time is generally spent outdoors, hiking, paddling, or fishing. I also like enjoy making pizza, sausage and baking bread, running the Weber smoker and grill, and pickling everything imaginable.
